< back

Well after all the waiting we are finally on our way. We were “Released” from Dartmoor Prison at 10.30am, and made our way to Drake Circus Shopping Mall (thanks for sponsoring us guys), for about 11.15am, courtesy of our Bus Driver Mr Gordon Sparks, and also Plymouth City Bus for sponsoring the vehicle.

During our quick visit to the Mall, we visited our great friend Dawn at LUSH, (who has been fantastic with her support on our fundraising events), who has arranged to raise some more funds for us today, whilst all her girls are dressed in their Jailbreak shirts! Thanks also to LUSH who have also sponsored us.

We departed the Mall about 12.15pm with our destination Home Park, where “Sparksy”, commentated on the Plymouth Argyle championship match against Preston North End.

At half time we were presented with some tickets by Area Commander, Squadron Leader Andy Walker of the RAF, who flew into Harpers Park (Argyle’s Training Pitch) via helicopter (thanks to Sqn Leader Any Walker and the RAF for all their help). At the end of the game we were flown from the Ground to Plymouth City Airport, where we boarded an Air Southwest flight to London Gatwick (thanks to Air Southwest for generously donating the return flights).

After arriving at Gatwick at 7.25pm, we were transferred to the Sheraton Heathrow (thanks to Andrew Huxted at the Sheraton for supporting us again this year as he and the Sheraton did in 2000), where we were interviewed, as part of our participation in the Jailbreak. Finally we have had a quick bite to eat before, going to bed ready for the next leg tomorrow…night night!!!
