We have arrived at Bandar Seri Begawan Airport in Brunei, after a long flight from London, we are all pretty tired. And will shortly pick up our vehicle from AVIS Brunei (thanks to David Goh for sponsoring the vehicle whilst in Brunei). We will shortly make our way to the Sheraton Utama in Bandar, where we will be staying. Again special thanks to the Sheraton Utama, especially Paula Munoz, who has been extremely helpful in helping us.
We will update you later today hopefully, or possibly tomorrow, we have lined up some interesting things over the next few days, which we will hopefully be able to show you on the website, and some of the things we have lined up you may well hear on Gordon’s BBC Radio Devon Breakfast Show.
**Todays update**
We arrived at 10am local time (2am UK time) after a very smooth flight.
Having passed through customs, which is very strict as it is a non-alcoholic country, the heat hit us.
It is around 95 degrees, but we have already found the poolside to be very cooling.
It seems word has got out in Brunei that we were arriving - we are about to meet a gentleman who is a teacher here, after leaving Devon 11 years ago.
To all our sponsors - we wouldn't have done it without you, and your logos are being recorded by not only cameras, but TV crews.
Our first interview was at London, when a Persian TV station with an audience of 700 million took interest in our progress.
